Revere Bank team raises $13,000 for Best Buddies during their annual Friendship Walk

Nineteen Revere Bank employees participated in the Maryland Best Buddies Friendship Walk on May 6, despite occasional downpours. The Revere team exceeded its fundraising goal of $10,000 and raised $13,000.  Revere was a bronze sponsor of the event and ranked as a top three fundraising team for 2017. The two-mile walk started at the Xfinity Center at the University of Maryland.  Proceeds benefit Best Buddies, an organization that matches people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with peer volunteers from the community. The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the number one walk in the country raising awareness and funds to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since the walk’s inception in 2009, more than 70,000 participants in 46 cities have walked to raise awareness for inclusion, friendship, leadership, and opportunity.
