Revere Bank Employees Participate in Avon39: The Walk to End Breast Cancer

Revere Bank employees, Sandra Tunnell and Yee Yee Tun, participated in Avon39: The Walk to End Breast Cancer in Washington, D.C. on May 6-7. Participants walked 39.3 miles across the city to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. Each participant was required to raise at least $1,800, and the two Revere team members raised more than $6,000 to contribute to their team’s total of approximately $65,000. The event consisted of teams walking 26 miles on Saturday and 13 miles on Sunday. All funds raised benefitted local care programs as well as national research programs. Area beneficiaries included Breast Care for Washington, Howard University Cancer Center and George Washington Cancer Center, among others. For more information on the event, visit
