Revere Bank CEOs Target Big Banks for Growth

Revere Bank co-CEOs Drew Flott and Ken Cook were recently featured in the Baltimore Business Journal. Cook and Flott spoke about the bank’s dedication to the Baltimore market, even with their expansion into Montgomery County, and the competition among area banks for market share.

“Our major competitors are the big banks,” Cook said. “The bureaucracy has worked its way into the system and they are not as responsive to clients’ needs. We have proven to ourselves that whether we are a $200 million bank or a $2 billion bank we can hold onto that personal touch. Most of the time we are not competing with those guys (community banks).”

“The big banks have a box that every deal has to fit in,” Flott said. “To get out of the box the decision has to go somewhere else. Here at Revere, the decision-making is done locally.”
