Partnerships that Matter: Part of the Family

Businesses and families have many similarities. And some businesses consider their team as family. One of those companies is Revere Bank customer, Village Settlements Inc., a local real estate settlement company, together with its affiliated law firm, Parker, Simon, Hahn & DeLisi, LLC.

“Our philosophy here at Village Settlements is that we’re a family and we all part of one team building it together,” said David Parker, one of the founders and president of Village Settlements. “There are individual jobs everywhere, and we could say Revere is just our bank, but we’re all on the same team building this project together. We consider Revere as much a part of the team as the person answering our phone or the attorney sitting at the settlement table.”

As Parker built his company to have this culture, it’s important for his company to partner with others who have the same motto and values.

“With Revere, you get that small-town bank feeling, which is what we were looking for,” added Parker. “If I want to talk to the president of the bank or the next person down, I can get through right away. Our banking experience in the past wasn’t always that way.  With one bank, we would have to have a large committee meeting set up and it would take a few weeks, and the decision wouldn’t be what was best for our team.  With Revere, we call and they know how to get things done.”

Since Parker deals with customers making one of the biggest purchases of their lives, their homes, it’s important he has a banking partner he can count on.

“Recently, a client had to have funds wired out because the folks on the other end were expecting their money,” said Parker. “I called Revere and they kept the wire department open late and got it out. If it was a big national bank, I probably wouldn’t have been able to speak to a human being to get that done. I always feel confident that Revere will deliver on their word. Whenever we need them, they are there.”

As a family and a business, you need to be able to count on each other.

“Revere is part of our family. If we have a problem, if we need help or if something just isn’t working quite right, we know that we can call them and they will help us out,” said Parker. “And that is why we bank with Revere.  We often say to our customers that when you are ready for your next settlement, Village Settlements will be there. Likewise, it is good to know that Revere Bank will be with us along the way.”

At Revere Bank, our partnerships put businesses on the fast track to success. We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with local businesses to help improve the economies and communities of our customers and employees.
