Partnerships that Matter: Supporting Our Veterans

Supporting our nation’s veterans is a personal cause for so many Americans. And, in the case of one local nonprofit, it has been their flagship cause for the last 40 years.

Vietnam Veterans of America’s (VVA) goals are to promote and support the full range of issues important to Vietnam veterans and all veterans. From advocating for policy changes on Capitol Hill to ensuring that disabled veterans are able to access their benefits and healthcare, VVA provides veterans with various programs to help them succeed and deal with the challenges of being a veteran.

With such a pivotal cause, VVA partners with Revere Bank to help maximize finances and efficiency so the organization can continue providing life-changing programs to vets. VVA takes advantage of all of the bank’s cash-management services.

“The Revere team has been cooperative, responsive and certainly friendly,” said Joe Sternburg, VVA Chief Financial Officer. “I’ve known some of the bankers for 20 years. They’re very easy to get along with and provide extraordinary service across the board. ”

Sternburg values the relationship he’s built with the Revere team, a group of bankers VVA has worked with for the past 10 years.

“My dealings with the bank and the team are always great – they’re extremely cooperative with us. If we ever have issues that need instant resolution, we get it,” Sternburg added. “The personal communication from the Revere team is a big part of why we have such a great relationship.”

Another important piece of the relationship for Sternburg is Revere’s willingness to support the organization.

“Revere has been very involved with VVA. We put on a skating function every year in Silver Spring, and they’ve always been supportive of the fundraiser by providing supplies and toys,” said Sternburg. “It’s great that they actually get involved with the organization.”

Sternburg feels lucky to have been able to build a mutually beneficial relationship with Revere.

“I’m very appreciative of the relationship we’ve been able to build with Revere,” said Sternburg. “I recommend Revere to anyone that asks me about banking partners.”

At Revere Bank, our partnerships help businesses become even more successful. We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with local businesses to help improve the communities we serve.
