Montgomery County Business Hall of Fame Announces Dr. Robert Caret as Keynote Speaker for Luncheon on October 29th

The Montgomery County Business Hall of Fame (MCBHOF) is excited to announce Dr. Robert Caret as the keynote speaker for its annual luncheon and induction ceremony on October 29.

Dr. Caret is the Chancellor of the University System of Maryland. He has held this position since 2015 where he established the priorities of access and affordability, college completion, academic and research excellence, and workforce development.  Under his leadership, the USM has expanded partnerships with the business community and embraced a more entrepreneurial approach, positioning the system as vital economic and workforce engine for Maryland.

The event will be held at 11:00 a.m. at The Universities at Shady Grove Conference Center in Rockville, Md.

The MCBHOF, founded by Grossberg Company LLP and Revere Bank, is a celebration of individuals who have made a significant impact in the Montgomery County business community.

This year, the MCBHOF will honor four local business leaders: Jane Fairweather, owner of The Jane Fairweather Team; Bryant Foulger, chairman of board of directors of Foulger Pratt; Linda Gooden, former executive vice president at Lockheed Martin; and Sophia Parker, CEO of DSFederal, Inc.

The event proceeds will benefit the scholarship programs at The Universities at Shady Grove (USG), Maryland’s premier regional education center which brings more than 80 undergraduate and graduate programs from nine Maryland public universities directly to Montgomery County. Since its inception, MCBHOF has supported more than 750 students and raised more than $1 million for the USG scholarship fund through donations and the MCBHOF event.
