Mr. Horvath is a Senior Vice President and Commercial Group Leader of Revere Bank. He is an experienced banker who has worked in the financial services industry for over 40 years. Prior to joining Revere Bank, Mr. Horvath was a Senior Vice President and Group Manager for PNC Bank, a position he held since 2007 when PNC acquired Mercantile Bankshares Corporation.
Mr. Horvath began his banking career at Union Commerce Bank, Cleveland, Ohio in 1971. During his 14 years in Ohio banking, he also served as Area President, BancOhio National, Canton, Ohio. Since relocating to Maryland in 1985, Mr. Horvath has held several senior commercial lending management positions. He was President and CEO of the former Suburban Bank of Maryland, Greenbelt Maryland (1997-2000), prior to its merger with The Columbia Bank. Mr. Horvath remained as Executive Vice President of The Columbia Bank’s Washington Region (2000-2005) until he joined Mercantile Bankshares in 2006.
Mr. Horvath holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University, Granville, Ohio. He was awarded a Masters in Business Administration, from Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, Ohio. Mr. Horvath is a graduate of The Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He is also a graduate of Leadership Maryland, where he served as Chairman, Board of Directors, 2008-2009.
